Indian American Fundraiser Ajay Bhutoria Receives Intimidating Messages Demanding He Leave the U.S
November 11 :
Indian American Democratic Party fundraiser Ajay Bhutoria has claimed to have received sectarian threats from an anonymous source urging him to "return to India" and leave the country. Bhutoria is linked with Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party.
In addition to her role on the President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders, Bhutoria is the Deputy National Finance Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Supporting legal immigrants and resolving difficulties affecting Asian American communities are his primary responsibilities.
You say you're looking out for Americans' best interests, but you're actually doing very little to help them, according to one of the messages. You hail from India. Only Indians are important to you. A different section of the correspondence called him a "beggar in America" and encouraged him to pursue "status in India."
The messages were released publicly by Bhutoria, who attributed them to Trump supporters and highlighted the larger difficulties that immigrants still encounter. He made the point that attacks like these bring attention to the racial discrimination that minority groups and immigrants frequently face. While seeking to rally the nation's legal immigrant population behind her cause, Bhutoria has been an outspoken supporter of immigrants' rights and inclusion. He said that his story illustrates the importance of keeping the conversation about race and immigrant experiences in the United States going.
