Vinod Khosla Congratulates Elon Musk on Trump's 2024 Victory, Looks Forward to Positive U.S. Policy
November 12 :
Vinod Khosla, an Indian-American businessman, wished Elon Musk well after Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 US presidential election and voiced his hope that Musk may play a beneficial role in molding US policy while Trump was president. Hopefully, you can convince Trump to accomplish some of the things he said he'd do and not do some of the things he promised in a social media post by Khosla, who urged Musk to maintain a balanced approach with former President Trump.
Khosla surprised everyone by reaching out to congratulate Musk, even though the two had recently been at odds. When Khosla blasted Javier Milei, the president of Argentina, whom Musk backs, the fight began. According to Khosla, poverty was caused by Milei's austerity policies, and he cautioned that Trump's ideas could have the same effect. Bringing up the 52% poverty rate, he characterized it as "dictatorial."
When Khosla blasted the austerity measures imposed by the Argentine president Javier Milei, Musk, a staunch advocate of libertarian economic ideals, spared no criticism. Musk chimed in to clear up Khosla's confusion by saying that the official unemployment rate is 7.6 percent and not poverty. Verifiers of facts corroborated Musk's assertion. A tweet by Musk labeling Khosla "dumb" only made matters worse.
Khosla hoped that Musk would prioritize significant reforms, such as strengthening FDA regulations, backing climate action, and maintaining a firm position on international alliances, in his congratulatory letter following this online back-and-forth.
