MANTRAH Tri-State Hosts Spectacular Diwali Masquerade Party
South Plainfield, NJ – November 23, 2024:
MANTRAH Tri-State brought the community together for a magical evening, hosting a Diwali-themed masquerade party at Spice Culture in South Plainfield, New Jersey. The vibrant event celebrated culture, tradition, and togetherness, leaving attendees with lasting memories.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from Vice President Deeta Nair. President of MANTRAH, Syam Sankar addressed the gathering and during his speech he underscored the significance of fostering community connections in the United States and how these efforts can positively influence on our generations.
MANTRAH’s Executive, Trustee, and Director Board Members were introduced on stage, and updates about the upcoming MANTRAH Shivoham Convention were shared by regional leaders. Convenor Vijay Nambiar, NJ Regional Vice President Krishna Prasad Embanatt, and NY Regional Vice Presidents Purushotaman Panicker, Abhilash Pulikkathodi, and Jayakumar Nair highlighted exciting plans for the convention, which is set to take place from July 3–6, 2025, in Winston Salem, Charlotte, North Carolina (Closest Airport is Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO), Greensboro, NC). The announcement sparked excitement and anticipation among attendees. The event was concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by General Secretary Shibu Divakaran.
The evening’s highlight was a showcase of cultural performances, beginning with a mesmerizing dance by Regional Cultural Chair Guru Malini Nair. Musical performances by children and adults added to the festive atmosphere, while a lively Dandiya dance, led by Women’s Forum Co-Chair Veena Radhakrishnan.
Interactive games and a live Mehndi station added a playful touch, with participants lining up for intricate designs. A special evening moment was the crowning of “Mr. and Ms. Masquerade,” Samal and Annie, adding a spark of elegance and celebration.
The night concluded with a delicious spread of food and a lively dance floor energized by DJ Krish. Attendees came together to celebrate the essence of Diwali with music, movement, and joy.
