Question paper leaks through YouTube channels; those adopting fraudulent practices will not be spared, said Minister V. Sivankutty.

The question papers were leaked through certain YouTube channels. Education Minister V. Sivankutty stated that a comprehensive investigation will be conducted into the leakage of some question papers for the Christmas examination. The question paper is printed outside the state. Two sets of question papers were prepared. The government is not willing to compromise in any way regarding the conduct of examinations. He added that the culprits would be identified and brought before the law, and those adopting fraudulent practices would not be spared.

"What is happening is a challenge to the public education system. A leak cannot occur without the knowledge of those who prepare and distribute the questions. Strict action will be taken against the YouTube channels. The department views this issue with utmost seriousness. If some teachers, who are paid by the government and are committed to working, get involved with certain companies for business interests and adopt fraudulent practices, they will not be spared. Information about the teachers who are giving private tuition will be collected. This will be discussed in the high-level meeting tomorrow. The students who are studying well are the ones being troubled," the minister said.

Earlier, after discovering that a racket involving teachers was leaking question papers, the Education Department had filed a complaint with the police requesting an investigation. However, no further action was taken.
