The center is responsible for safeguarding the interests of all the people in the country. The center is trying to blame Kerala, which has faced a disaster, and create technical obstacles. It is the people of India who pay taxes to the central government. When these people are affected by disaster, the center should not shirk its responsibility to help them; instead, it should fulfill its duty. K. Radhakrishnan MP was speaking against the central government's stance, which demands Kerala to reimburse ₹132,62,00,000 for airlift services from the 2019 flood to the Wayanad disaster.

The MP clarified that demanding the amount for past expenses is equivalent to insulting the people of Kerala. The center was not even willing to bear the cost of the DNA test for the bodies. The state government clarifies that the central government's action of sending a letter demanding the immediate reimbursement of the amount is a severe discrimination against Kerala.

Meanwhile, despite the delay in central assistance for the rehabilitation of Wayanad, MPs from Kerala staged a protest in front of Parliament, including protesting against the Ministry of Defence's demand for money for the rescue operations conducted there. MPs, led by Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, staged a protest raising demands for justice for Wayanad and the implementation of a special package.
