To see the alleviator of sorrow for the second time; Chandy Umman visited Sabarimala for darshan.

Chandy Umman arrived to see Lord Ayyappa for the second time. Wearing the garland and observing the vows, with the two locks of hair tied, Chandy Umman MLA climbed the mountain, stepped up the eighteenth step, and reached the Ayyappa shrine. When he stood in the queue with other pilgrims and reached the steps, it was then that the police recognized him. However, he said that he did not need any special consideration and went ahead with the darshan. It was when he reached the malikapuram that other pilgrims recognized him. He stood with many people to take photos, and some took selfies. Then, he performed the darshan with them in the malikapuram
