Incident of a tribal youth being dragged in Wayanad; car identified; Priyanka Gandhi demands strict action."

The car involved in the incident where tribal youth Mathan was dragged along the road at Koodalkadavu, Mananthavady, Wayanad, has been found. The car was found in Kaniyampatta. The accused are Harshida, a native of Kaniyampatta in Wayanad, and her friends. The car has been taken into police custody. A clash occurred between two groups who had come to see the check dam at Payyampally Koodalkadavu. It was while trying to stop this that Mathan got his hand caught in the car door and was dragged along. The vehicle is currently at the Mananthavady police station.

Priyanka Gandhi spoke to the Wayanad Collector over the phone regarding the incident. Priyanka Gandhi demanded strict action in the incident and called for exemplary punishment to be ensured. The Mananthavady police informed that the accused would be arrested today itself. The police have intensified the investigation for the Celerio car with the registration number KL 52 H 8733.
