Welfare pension scam: 6 officials suspended, misappropriated amount to be repaid with 18% interest.
Employees who illegally misappropriated the social welfare pension have been suspended. The government has decided to recover the amount, including 18% interest, from the employees. Six officials from the soil conservation department have been suspended.. Among them are employees ranging from part-time sweepers to work officers. The Finance Department's inspection revealed that both government officials and pensioners were illegally misappropriating the social security pension. Following this, a list of the officials was handed over to the respective departments, and it was requested that departmental action be taken.
