Texas Celebrates Commitment to Unity, Democracy, and Leadership

The Indian Overseas Congress USA held a vibrant gathering in Texas to celebrate the
exceptional contributions of its members and renew its commitment to safeguarding
India’s democracy.
President Mohinder Singh Gilzian addressed the attendees, expressing gratitude for
their unwavering support, especially in the wake of Rahul Gandhi's recent successful
visit. He praised the dedication of IOC members in championing democratic values,
both in the USA and India.
While Global Chairman Dr. Sam Pitroda could not attend in person, he sent his
greetings via video, emphasizing the importance of the organization's mission. Dr.
Pitroda also praised the entire Dallas Core-Committee team for their remarkable
efforts, calling them an example of excellence in teamwork and dedication. He
commended their ability to execute a memorable event with meticulous planning and
coordination, which contributed significantly to the success of Rahul Gandhi's visit.
Gilzian extended his heartfelt thanks to key leaders and organizers who made the event
a resounding success:
- Gurdev Singh Hayer, Working President of IOC USA South-West Zone,
emphasized the importance of unity by stating, "Everybody's company will help
in everybody's growth." He assured attendees of his efforts to bring many new
members into IOC from the South-West Zone and lauded Dr. Sam Pitroda as a
visionary leader capable of providing solutions to the challenges facing India
today.
- Baldev Randhawa, National Vice President of IOC USA, for his continued
dedication to the organization.
- Joshua Jayasingh, National Treasurer of IOC USA, for his financial stewardship
and commitment.
-Sandeep Vangala, National General Secretary of IOC USA, for his invaluable
coordination and efforts.
- Jaswinder Randhawa, Neeraj Gupta, Akram Sayed, Raja Virk and Ajay Goud
Yenganti, for their tireless efforts as part of the organizing committee, ensuring
the success of this memorable event.
Additionally, Gilzian lauded the contributions of major donors and the various Indian
state diasporas whose unwavering support and generosity played a pivotal role in
making Rahul Gandhi's visit to Dallas a landmark event. He emphasized that their
commitment not only facilitated the event's success but also showcased the unity and
strength of the Indian Overseas Congress in the USA.

In his speech, Gilzian highlighted pressing concerns in India, including:
- EVM Issues: Unresolved questions surrounding voting discrepancies in Haryana
and Maharashtra.
- Manipur Crisis: Ongoing unrest in the state without resolution for over a year.
- Adani Case: A $250 million bribery scandal met with government silence.
He called on members to take a stand against unconstitutional actions, urging them to
use social media to amplify their voices and raise awareness about these critical issues.
The President also outlined plans to expand IOC chapters in Louisiana, Arkansas,
Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico, aiming to strengthen the
organization's presence and membership across the Southwest.
The evening also celebrated the birthday of Shri Sonia Gandhi ji, honoring her
contributions and legacy in strengthening democracy and unity.
“Tonight is a reminder to stay committed to truth, justice, and democracy,” Gilzian
declared, closing the event with a call for unity and hope.
The event celebrated the resilience of IOC members while reinforcing their mission to
protect India's democratic principles.
