Basketball Revolution in the offing

It's really exciting to walk the path of legends and giants of the sports.The Captains Professional Basketball (P) Ltd in association with the Basketball Federation of India is all set to start the Pro International Basketball League (InBL PRO U-25) from January 15th,2025 which for sure will pave the way for aspiring talents in India to experience the best .
"It's an initiative to transform Indian Basketball by creating opportunities. ".Praveen Batish ,the CEO of the International Pro Leaugue said in an exclusive interview with this reporter.We wish to set a new benchmark for professional Basketball in India,he said. It's a leap towards integrating U25 Indian players in to the global Basketball eco system.Batish who himself was a Basketball player and coach before taking up sports administration explained.
With six teams having six Indian players and six from abroad the League will give opening for 36 Indian players from U 25 age group. Regarding foreign recruits,24 will be under 25 and 12 seniors.This is to involve established players in the movement. All 12 players will get chance to play every game.As per Batish that's the rapid system with exposure for one and all.
The players auction is slated for 9th January after watching the coming senior nationals in Bhavanagar, Gujarat. The preliminary games will be in NewDelhi and semifinal onwards it will be in Abu Dhabi.But Batish assured, from next season onwards more venues would be selected.And, Kerala with huge Basketball following is also in the map. There will be 12 foreign coaches and six from India to assist them.The foreign coaches and players are mostly from U.S,Canada, Australia and NewZealand.
NewZealand NBL has given franchise to Indian Panthers which will give opportunity for 10 to 12 Indian players to stay and play in Auckland for five months.Justin Nelson ,Commissioner, NZNBL was present during the Leauge's launching ceremony in NewDelhi. BFI president Adhav Arjuna dreams to make India among the top five in Asia and top 25 in the world in a span of five to eight years. Rupinder Brar is the Founder -Chairman of the pro league with Abhishek Yash Tyagi Co- Chairman and Dushyant Khanna Director.They have started INBL in 2021. Settled in Australia,Praveen Batish came for the launching.He said "targeting this age bracket,InBL aims to develop players early in their career."He added,colleges and schools, even in rural India are in their target group.And,now our young Basketball players must target InBL.
