Arif Mohammed Khan, who is stepping down from the position of Governor, bid farewell to the media in Malayalam before leaving for Delhi. I am leaving with the most beautiful memories of Kerala life. I will always remember all of you. I wish the best for everyone in Kerala," the Governor said in Malayalam. The Governor clarified that the lack of an official farewell was due to it being a sad occasion. He stated that there were no issues with the government except for the university matter. He also extended his best wishes to the Kerala government. Arif Mohammed Khan clarified that his way of functioning should not be compared to anyone else's. He said that he is not commenting on the government's representatives not making a courtesy visit.
Meanwhile, even though Governor Arif Mohammed Khan officially stepped down from the position, there has been no thaw in the government, and the displeasure continues. The Chief Minister and the Ministers did not come to see the Governor. The Chief Minister and Ministers were not even willing to make a courtesy visit. However, officials such as the Chief Secretary and the State Police Chief came to extend their greetings to the Governor. He completed 5 years at the Kerala Raj Bhavan on September 5, 2024. After five years filled with controversies and conflicts, he is leaving Kerala. Arif Mohammed Khan will assume office as the Governor of Bihar on January 2.
