Returning in an Indian cricket jersey; Vinod Kambli requests, 'Please don't drink.'
Returning home from the hospital wearing a cricket jersey. Former cricketer Vinod Kambli was admitted to Akriti Hospital in Mumbai on December 21 due to health issues. According to a report by the Times of India, Kambli left the hospital wearing India’s ODI jersey. The report also mentions that he waved to fans while holding a cricket bat in his hand.
Dr. Shailesh Thakur of Akriti Health City Hospital led Vinod Kambli's treatment. Before leaving the hospital, Kambli spoke to the media. He stated that he had fully recovered and extended New Year wishes to everyone. He also urged everyone not to consume alcohol.
"Dr. Thakur helped me recover my health. I had said that I would return only to regain my health. I will show the people at Shivaji Park that Vinod Kambli will not give up cricket. They trained me in cricket while I was in the hospital. At that time, I only hit sixes and fours," said Kambli. "Enjoy the New Year, don't drink, and enjoy life," he added.
