Just a Week to Go: IPC’s 101st Kumbanad Convention Set to Begin January 12

The Indian Pentecostal Church of God (IPC) is gearing up to host its 101st General Convention from January 12 to 19, 2025, at the church headquarters in Hebronpuram, Kumbanad. As one of the largest Pentecostal gatherings in India, the event is set to draw thousands of believers and ministers from across the country and abroad.

The week-long convention will be inaugurated by General President Pastor T. Valson Abraham at 5:30 PM on January 12. Attendees can look forward to evangelistic meetings, Bible classes, missionary conferences, women’s sessions, and youth and student gatherings, all aimed at spiritual enrichment and unity.

A host of renowned speakers will minister at the convention, including Pastors T. Valson Abraham, Baby Varghese, Philip P. Thomas, Thomas George, V.J. Thomas, Raju Anickad, K.J. Thomas Kumali, John K. Mathew, Sunny Philip, Shaji Daniel, Sabu Varghese, K.C. Thomas, Shibu Thomas, Wilson Varkey, Wilson Joseph, Raju Methra, James George, Sunny Kurien, M.S. Samuel, and Babu Cherian.

With the 101st convention being a milestone event, the final preparations are underway. Renovations to the stage and the construction of a pavilion capable of accommodating over 20,000 attendees are nearing completion.

The 21-day fasting prayer, which began on December 20, continues at the Hebronpuram Prayer Chamber under the leadership of General, State, and Regional officials, interceding for the event’s success.

Key leaders overseeing the arrangements include General President Pastor T. Valson Abraham, Vice President Pastor Philip P. Thomas, General Secretary Pastor Baby Varghese, Joint Secretaries Pastor Thomas George and Brother Varkey Abraham Kachanathu, and Treasurer Brother John Joseph.

According to Publicity Chairman Pastor Philip P. Thomas and Media Convener Pastor Varghese Mathai, “The 101st convention is progressing as planned, with all preparations on track for a successful and spiritually uplifting event.”

The Convention Choir has begun rehearsals, with renowned singers leading the music ministry to create a vibrant and worshipful atmosphere.

The 101st IPC General Convention is not only a historic milestone but also a powerful gathering of believers united in faith, worship, and fellowship, continuing its legacy as one of India’s largest and most impactful Pentecostal events.
