The case was registered on the grounds that Atishi used her official vehicle for election campaign activities on January 8. The case has been filed under BNS 223 (a). The vehicle used was registered with the number DL-IL-AL 1469. As the police tighten their grip on Atishi ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party continues to allege that the BJP is distributing money in exchange for votes in the Delhi Assembly elections.
