Efforts are underway to capture the tiger without using a tranquilizer. The elusive tiger has been playing hide-and-seek. For the past week, the tiger has been roaming in Amarakuni, Wayanad, killing livestock and spreading fear among residents. The search operation continues late into the night to capture the animal. The tiger had come near the trap set next to the carcass of a goat killed in the morning at Oottikkavala, Pulpally. Though the RRT (Rapid Response Team) surrounded the tiger, it managed to escape.

On Tuesday morning, the tiger killed Biju's goat at Oottikkavala Paayikandam. The tiger fled after the family members raised an alarm. The previous day, the tiger had also killed Keshavan's goat. After detecting the tiger's presence, the forest department set up three traps in the area. A search is ongoing in the area using a thermal drone. The local residents have been advised to remain alert. Officials are focusing on capturing the tiger without using a tranquilizer.
