Bringing an end to suspicions and conflicts, the tomb of Neyyattinkara Gopan Swami was broken open, revealing a body inside. A body was found inside the tomb. The body was found in a sitting posture and was in a decayed state. Ash was applied up to the neck. The upper part was demolished first. Ritual items and ash were found inside the tomb.
The police have proceeded with the inquest process. It has been decided to conduct the postmortem at the Medical College. The Neyyattinkara case is being overseen by Rural SP K.S. Sudarshan. Since the body had started to decompose, the initial plan was to conduct the postmortem at the site itself. For this, police forensic experts arrived at the location. After completing the inquest procedures, the body will be shifted to the Medical College Hospital for postmortem. The proceedings are being led by Thiruvananthapuram Sub-Collector O.V. Alfred.
