An infant sleeping beside her mother was found dead. The deceased is Divyanshi, the one-month-old daughter of Nena, a young woman from a nomadic group hailing from Rajasthan. They had been running a business near Thalappolikaavu in Kodungallur. The incident occurred this morning.
Around 4 AM, the baby was breastfed and put to sleep but was found unconscious in the morning. The Garuda ambulance staff immediately took the baby to Kodungallur Taluk Government Hospital and later to A.R. Hospital, but her life could not be saved. The preliminary assumption is that the baby choked on breast milk, leading to her death.
