₹1 crore brought to refill the ATM was stolen; an employee was shot dead.

In Bidar, Karnataka, armed assailants opened fire on security personnel in broad daylight and stole cash that was being brought to refill an ATM. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon. The security personnel had arrived to load cash into the ATM at Shivaji Chowk in Bidar. Meanwhile, two helmet-wearing robbers arrived on a bike and opened fire at them. One person died on the spot. The deceased is security personnel Giri Venkatesh. Another person has been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.

The robbers then seized the cash box from the vehicle and fled the scene. Reports indicate that around ₹1 crore was stolen. Reports suggest that the money was being brought to refill an SBI ATM. Karnataka Police have intensified the search to catch the attackers.
