Dr. K.M. Abraham Joins Mumbai Marathon Again with 'Run for Wayanad' Goal'

Dr K.M.Abraham,Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Kerala, took part in Mumbai Marathon consecutively for the second time,but with a different goal.It was Run for Wyanadu this time.He finished the full 42.195 k.m.Last year he ran for Brain Search Foundation,U.K.

"This year I ran the Mumbai Marathon in solidarity with the families who had lost their loved ones or those rendered homeless in the devastating landslides that happened on July 30, 2024 in Wayanad. The run is also intended to help mobilise funds from generous well wishers who would like to contribute to building townships to rehabilitate the affected families."he said.

The Chief Minister in the presence of other ministers and the Chief Secretary handed over the jersey and the banner with the theme RUN FOR WAYANAD to him. He requested others to join his humble campaign for the landslide victims in Wayanad and to contribute to

Dr.K.M Abraham,former Chief Secretary, Govt of Kerala is a third degree black belt holder in Taikwondo.Excellent sports administrator and national referee as well.

Twentieth edition of the Mumbai Marathon was held yesterday.It's an annual global event held on the third Sunday of every year.About 65,000 runners took part across all divisions,i.e.,full,half,10.k.m and dream run.Over 25,000 took part in the dream run. Over 200 officers from Central Railway and 50 from RPF ran different distance.Also there were many civil services officers. RPF campaigned for passenger safety and women safety.

Berhane Tesfay won the men's event where as in women's section , Joyce Chepkemoi won the gold.The 20th edition witnessed enthusiastic participation showcasing their dedication to fitness and resilience.
