Show compassion to LGBTQ+ individuals and the poor; Bishop appeals to Trump

Renjini RamachandranBishop appeals to Trump: Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde has urged for leniency in Trump's new policy announcements regarding birthright citizenship and gender identity. The bishop made the appeal to Trump during a prayer service held at the National Cathedral in Washington.
Trump had issued an order revoking the birthright citizenship system, which grants citizenship to everyone born in the United States. The birthright citizenship system was abolished through an executive order signed by Trump shortly after assuming office as President. The bishop said, in the name of God, that compassion must be shown to the poor in the country, including LGBTQ+ individuals, children, Democrats, Republicans, and independents, as they are living in fear about their lives . Trump's declaration that there will only be male and female in the country has deeply concerned transgender individuals and sexual minority groups.
