Indian Diplomatic Posts in the US Commemorate 76th Republic Day"

The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the United States on January 26, bringing together the Indian diaspora to commemorate the nation's rich heritage and democratic values.

In New York, the Consulate General of India organized a lively celebration, uniting more than 300 members from the Indian diaspora and friends of India. The event was filled with patriotic fervor, featuring dignitaries, community leaders, and cultural performers who came together to honor the significance of the day. The Indian Consulate in New York shared a post on X, showcasing moments from the vibrant Republic Day celebrations, with around 300 attendees from the Indian community and their supporters.

The Consulate shared on social media, highlighting the vibrant celebration of India’s 76th Republic Day at @IndiainNewYork. Consul General @binaysrikant76 proudly unfurled the tricolor, joined by members of the Indian diaspora and Friends of India.

The event, which featured cultural performances, also saw the Consulate honoring distinguished individuals from diverse sectors such as business, science, technology, arts, sports, and public service, recognizing their exceptional contributions.

The Indian Consulate in New York extended its congratulations to the awardees, expressing their hope that these individuals continue to inspire and make meaningful contributions that benefit their communities and the world at large. The Republic Day celebrations at the Consulate General of India in New York also featured an emotional Bharatnatyam performance by Kassiyet, presenting a rendition of "Vande Mataram."
In Chicago, Consul General Somnath Ghosh raised the National Flag and shared a special message from the President of India. The occasion was marked by heartfelt tributes to the tricolor, with members of the community and diaspora uniting in solidarity.

During the 76th Republic Day celebrations, Consul General Somnath Ghosh unfurled the National Flag and conveyed the message from Hon. Rashtrapatiji. The event included cultural performances by the Indian community in Chicago and saw the Consul General honoring the top scorers of the Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz 2024 with certificates. In Washington, DC, Indian Ambassador to the US Vinay Kwatra led the 76th Republic Day celebrations at India House, where he proudly unfurled the National Flag. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the Indian diaspora, who joined in the festivities with great pride and joy.

The Embassy of India in Washington, DC, shared on their official X account, stating, “Ambassador Vinay Kwatra unfurled the tricolor and broadcasted the President's address to the nation at India House in celebration of India’s 76th Republic Day. Members of the Indian diaspora joined in the celebrations with great enthusiasm.”

The Indian community in Houston came together to celebrate the 76th Republic Day of India with a special event organized by the India Culture Center (ICC), a prominent Indian American community organization based in Houston, Texas. ICC serves as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange, promoting Indian traditions, arts, and heritage.

The Consulate General of India in Houston shared on their X account, stating, “Consul Mr. Prashant Sona represented the Consul General at the Republic Day celebrations organized by the India Culture Center (ICC), a well-established Indian American community organization in Houston.”
In Atlanta, Consul General Ramesh Babu Lakshmanan, along with the Consulate staff, joined the local Indian community and friends of India in celebrating the 76th Republic Day of India.

The Consulate shared, "On the 76th Republic Day, Consul General, together with the Consulate team, the vibrant Indian community, and friends of India, came together to hoist the Tiranga and celebrate with traditional enthusiasm. The event was further highlighted by a captivating Jal Tarang performance by Shri Vikash Achutaramaiah and his talented team."
