The incident took place in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Mohit Yadav, a Reserve Inspector, is currently gaining attention for his protest. He was suspended as part of an internal departmental investigation.
Although he requested leave, it was denied. He also accused his superiors of mistreating him and stealing both his and his wife’s phones. Following this, Mohit set up a tea stall in front of the Superintendent’s office in Jhansi as part of his protest. A video of him selling tea to passersby has now gone viral on social media.
Mohit alleges that his superiors mistreated him and even kicked him. After the altercation, he was taken to the Nawababad Police Station. As a result of this issue, he was suspended as part of the departmental actions. Following the suspension, Mohit filed a complaint with the DIG. He also stated that during his suspension, he would not receive half of his salary and mentioned that he is responsible for supporting his family."
