Following the BJP’s rise to power in Delhi, former Union Minister and BJP leader V. Muraleedharan responded to the development. He stated that the people of Delhi had brought the BJP to victory, calling it a verdict against corruption and arrogance. He emphasized that the election result reflected the voters’ wise and conscious decision.

“The people have given their verdict against Kejriwal’s corruption. The investigating agencies took action following the liquor policy scam, and Kejriwal’s claim that it was politically motivated was rejected by the people. Kejriwal is one of Pinarayi Vijayan’s closest friends, and the Delhi verdict should serve as a lesson for Pinarayi as well. If it is Delhi today, it will be Kerala tomorrow,” Muraleedharan remarked.

He further stated that Kerala, too, would witness a similar electoral shift. This victory marks the BJP’s return to power in Delhi after nearly 25 years. Allegations of corruption against AAP leaders and budget decisions favoring the middle class contributed to the BJP’s success. The party also made significant gains in AAP’s strongholds.
