Youth Stabs Teacher in Revenge for Opposing Love Affair
In Vengara, Malappuram, a madrassa teacher named Suhaib was attacked last night by an 18-year-old youth, Rashid. The police had interrogated the surrendered accused in detail, which revealed the motive behind the attack.

The attack was a result of a love affair involving a girl, who was a relative of Suhaib, and Rashid. Suhaib had asked Rashid to end the romantic relationship, which led to the anger and frustration that prompted the attempted murder. Rashid waited outside Suhaib's house, confirming the location with locals, and then ambushed him.

Suhaib was attacked with a knife after Rashid stopped his scooter while he was on his way home from work. However, Suhaib has stated in his police testimony that he did not know Rashid personally and had never met him before. Suhaib is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.
