An 8-month-old baby died after getting a cap stuck in his throat; The father called it abnormal

Father Suspects Foul Play in Eight-Month-Old Baby's Death Due to Choking

The father has approached the police, alleging foul play in the death of his eight-month-old baby, who choked on a bottle cap.

The deceased, Muhammad Ibad, was the son of Nisar from Abina House, Pookkunnu. The baby passed away last night. Notably, Nisar's other child had also died in a similar manner two years ago. Both deaths occurred at the mother's family home.

Two weeks ago, the baby had been injured in an accident after falling from an auto-rickshaw.

Following the father's complaint about suspicious circumstances, the Town Police have registered a case. In 2023, Nisar’s first child had died when just 14 days old, reportedly due to choking on breast milk.

On Monday night, Muhammad Ibad was taken to Kottaparamba Hospital after a bottle cap got lodged in his throat. However, the baby was declared dead before reaching the hospital.
