Mohanlal coming to the Qatar show at his own expense was a false statement"; Jayan Cherthala should apologize; Producers' Association sends legal notice.

Jayan Cherthala should withdraw the allegations made in the press conference and apologize. The Producers' Association has taken a stand against Jayan Cherthala, the former vice president of AMMA. They claim that he defamed the organization in front of the media and that his statement about AMMA owing ₹1 crore is false. Therefore, the association demands that Jayan Cherthala issue an apology, and a legal notice has been sent in this regard.

The claim that Mohanlal attended the Qatar show at his own expense is also incorrect. There is concrete evidence to counter these claims. The notice states that Jayan Cherthala should apologize for defaming the association in front of the media and withdraw the allegations made in the press conference.

Recently, Jayan Cherthala had stated that when the Producers' Association approached AMMA with a request to construct a building, AMMA contributed ₹1 crore.

He also commented that the ongoing cinema strike is only harming the film industry and that the claim that movies fail solely because actors increase their remuneration is not true. He questioned what would happen if AMMA decided that its members would only act in AMMA-produced films from now on. If things continue this way, AMMA will be forced to stand against the Producers' Association. "Actors are cast in films only because they have commercial value," he added.
