VV Sreeshma Mol (39) from Ashtamichira, Mala, succumbed to injuries after being brutally attacked by her husband over a dispute related to purchasing a mobile phone. The attack happened in front of their children. Following the murder, the police arrested her husband, Vasan.

Sreeshma, who worked as a packing staff at a private supermarket, had recently taken a loan to buy a smartphone. This led to arguments between the couple, as Vasan reportedly had suspicions about his wife. According to the police, the dispute escalated, and he attacked her with a knife on the night of January 29.

Sreeshma sustained severe injuries and was initially treated at a local hospital in Mala. As her condition worsened, she was shifted to a private hospital in Kochi, where she passed away today.

Vasan, who is not known for holding a steady job, attacked her with a knife, inflicting deep wounds on her arms and legs. The couple had four children.
