Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Arrives in India for an Official Visit
Qatar's Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has arrived in India for an official visit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally welcomed him at Delhi Airport, accompanied by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. This marks his second visit to India, the first being in March 2015.
"I went to the airport to welcome my brother, Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Wishing him a very pleasant stay in India and looking forward to our meeting tomorrow," Prime Minister Modi posted on X.
During his visit, the Amir of Qatar will hold discussions with Prime Minister Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and External Affairs Minister Jaishankar. According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), this visit will further strengthen India-Qatar diplomatic relations.
Accompanying the Amir is a high-level delegation, including Qatari ministers, senior officials, and business leaders. He is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Modi to discuss various aspects of bilateral relations. Both countries will also exchange Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) across multiple sectors.
