Abuse Attempt Under the Guise of Charity – Incident in Malappuram
A complaint has been filed against a Malappuram native who attempted to abuse a girl after offering to pay her father's hospital bills. The accused, Vakhiyat Koya, is now facing allegations, and explicit conversations he had with the girl have also surfaced.
The girl’s father is currently in the hospital after undergoing surgery, unable to pay the medical bills. It was during this time that the accused took advantage of the situation under the pretense of charity work.
Vakhiyat Koya approached the girl, stating that he could help pay the hospital bills and even support them in building a house. Introducing himself as a charity worker, he encouraged the girl to focus on her education, emphasizing that education is essential, especially for girls. He further claimed that her father would not be able to support her education anymore due to his health condition.
Under the guise of taking her to buy medicines, Koya convinced the girl to travel with him in his car. During the ride, he initially spoke about the importance of education. However, after purchasing the medicines, his true intentions became clear. The girl later revealed that at first, she did not fully grasp his intentions, but soon realized what he was implying.
Koya then suggested that she should come with him to Wayanad, where they could rent a room and stay. He further stated that they could "celebrate their first night" there and that he could only help her if they became physically intimate. He added that only then would she feel free to share anything with him.
The girl exposed everything Koya had said in front of the media. Following her complaint, the police launched an investigation against him. However, the family alleges that the police are being slow in taking action. Meanwhile, the police claim they are unsure of the accused's whereabouts but believe he has not left the area.
