Wore sunglasses to college; brutally assaulted by senior students

College Student Ragged by Seniors; Six Suspended
A complaint has been filed alleging that a college student was subjected to ragging by senior students. The incident took place at Holy Cross College, Nadakkavu, Kozhikode. Following the incident, six students have been suspended from the college.

The victim has been identified as V.T. Vishnu from Thanikunnath, Valappil, Olavanna. Vishnu was allegedly assaulted by senior students for wearing sunglasses to college. Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case against third-year students Muhammad Sinan, Gautham, and four others who are yet to be identified.

The assault occurred on February 14. According to Vishnu's complaint, he was attacked by six students at around 6 PM near the volleyball court. He sustained injuries to his back and legs. Meanwhile, the college authorities stated that they took immediate action against the students involved and reported the incident to the police.
