Do not provoke; we will respond strongly. This is not the old India," says Upendra Dwivedi.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Warns Pakistan: "Do Not Provoke; We Will Retaliate Strongly—This is Not the Old India"

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, which continues to support cross-border terrorism. He stated that any provocation would be met with a strong response from India. "This is not the old India; this is the new India, and Pakistan must always remember that," he emphasized during a press conference.

He further mentioned that since 2014, both India and Pakistan have taken various steps to ensure peace, and India has always remained firm on its stance. However, he reiterated that India is fully capable of delivering a strong counter-response if required. He also highlighted that after the revocation of Kashmir's special status, the level of terrorism has significantly declined.

The government's decision to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir reaffirmed that the region is an integral part of India, and there will be no compromise on this issue. He noted that now, no one supports terrorists, people can move around safely, and parents can send their children to school without fear.
