Trump-Zelenskyy Clash at White House Over U.S. Aid and Ukraine War

A tense exchange erupted between former U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House, with Trump and Vice President JD Vance criticizing Zelenskyy over U.S. aid and security negotiations.
Trump warned Zelenskyy he was “gambling with World War III” and insisted Ukraine must make a peace deal with Russia, stating, “You either make a deal or we are out.” Vance accused Zelenskyy of being “disrespectful” for pressing his case in front of the media.
Frustrated with Kyiv’s focus on security guarantees, Trump emphasized that NATO and Europe should take greater responsibility. The heated Oval Office discussion, broadcast on television, marked a shift in U.S.-Ukraine relations, with Trump signaling a tougher stance on unconditional support for Kyiv.
