Man Arrested for Smuggling Drugs via Mail
A man has been arrested in a drug smuggling case involving mail delivery. The arrested individual has been identified as Athul Krishnan, a resident of Vembayam, Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram. The Excise Department seized 400 grams of MDMA, which was ordered from France via the dark web.
The investigation led to his arrest after officials traced the phone number provided in the parcel. To avoid detection, he had used the dark web to place the order and made payments through Bitcoin.
The Excise Department is now seeking the assistance of Interpol, with the cooperation of the Narcotics Control Bureau, to trace the source of the drugs.
