Man Lives as a Woman for Over Three Decades Due to Fear of Ghost

A man has been living in a woman's attire for more than 36 years—out of fear of a ghost. While some may find this story tragic, others might see it as bizarre or even amusing. The man, a resident of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, claims he started dressing as a woman because he was haunted by the spirit of his second wife.

He believes that a ghost tormented him in the past, which led him to abandon his male identity and live as a woman. According to him, he constantly dreams of his deceased second wife, whose spirit he claims has been troubling him for decades.

The man has been married three times and has nine children, of whom seven have passed away. He attributes these tragedies to supernatural disturbances. He dresses in a saree and blouse, wears jewelry, and even applies sindoor (vermilion) along his hair parting like a married woman.

However, some villagers believe he is suffering from mental health issues. They argue that his beliefs stem from superstition and that he needs proper medical care and awareness. Interestingly, the village also has others who strongly believe in ghosts and spirits, adding another layer of intrigue to the story.
