The BJP has alleged that Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi is making frequent secret visits to Vietnam, raising concerns about national security. Their main criticism is that these visits are conducted without public disclosure.
At a press conference in Delhi, BJP leaders questioned whether Rahul Gandhi, who celebrated New Year in Vietnam, also celebrated Holi there. They claimed that he would remain in Vietnam for 22 days, a duration longer than the time he has spent consecutively in his own constituency. BJP spokespersons accused him of neglecting his responsibilities at home.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad expressed curiosity about why Rahul Gandhi has such an extraordinary affection for Vietnam. Meanwhile, Amit Malviya also criticized the visits, claiming they pose a serious challenge to national security.
In response, the Congress party defended Rahul Gandhi’s visit. Congress leader Harish Rawat clarified that Rahul Gandhi is visiting Vietnam to study the country's economic model.
