Indian Student Goes Missing During Vacation; Sudiksha's Clothes Found Near the Beach

New Twist in the Case of Missing Indian Student in the Dominican Republic

A new development has emerged in the case of an Indian student who went missing in the Dominican Republic, a Caribbean nation. Reports indicate that a piece of clothing, believed to belong to the missing student, was found on a lounge chair near the beach.

The student, Sudiksha Konanki, an Indian-American from the University of Pittsburgh, was reported missing on March 6 from the RIU Hotel.

The Dominican Republic police are continuing their investigation into her disappearance. Sudiksha had traveled to the Caribbean country to celebrate spring break. She was last seen with Josh Ribei, a college senior, who is currently being questioned in police custody. Sudiksha’s family suspects that she may have been abducted, while the police believe there is a possibility that she drowned.

Security camera footage from the night she disappeared shows items of clothing and shoes resembling what Sudiksha was last seen wearing. Investigators suspect that she may have left her clothes on the lounge chair before entering the ocean and accidentally drowned.
