A CRPF inspector was injured in a communist militant attack in Jharkhand. He has been admitted to the hospital, and his condition is reported to be stable. The incident occurred in the Chaibasa district of Jharkhand.
The attack took place during an encounter between the security forces and the militants. Security personnel had received information about the presence of militants in the Jaraykel area of Chaibasa, leading them to conduct a search operation. During the search, the militants opened fire on the CRPF team, prompting a strong retaliation. In an attempt to escape, the militants also threw an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the CRPF personnel, injuring the sub-inspector.
He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment in Ranchi. Reports indicate that the encounter is still ongoing in the area.
Earlier this month, three CRPF personnel were injured in a similar IED attack by communist militants in Chaibasa. Following this latest incident, security has been heightened, and an alert has been issued in the region.
