32-Year-Old in Critical Condition After Performing Surgery on Himself Using YouTube

Raja Babu, a resident of Sunrahk in Uttar Pradesh, is in critical condition after performing surgery on himself by following YouTube tutorials. He attempted the procedure due to unbearable abdominal pain, leading to his hospitalization in serious condition. Doctors have administered 11 stitches so far.

Raja Babu had been suffering from severe stomach pain for several weeks despite consulting doctors and taking prescribed medication. Frustrated by the lack of relief, he decided to perform the surgery himself. He researched how to conduct abdominal surgery on YouTube before purchasing the necessary medical supplies from a pharmacy, including a surgical blade, anesthesia, needles, and sutures.

The self-surgery took place last Wednesday. After injecting himself with anesthesia to numb the pain, Raja Babu used a surgical blade to cut open his abdomen and later stitched the wound himself. However, as the anesthesia wore off, the pain became unbearable. Upon discovering his condition, family members rushed him to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
