Sex racket busted by police; 23 women, including three minors, rescued—search underway for more suspects.

Seven people were arrested in a police raid on a sex racket in Paharganj. The police rescued 23 women, including three minors, out of which 10 are Nepali nationals. The police received information that a group was trafficking women by offering job promises and pretending to be in love. Most of the victims are from Bengal and Nepal.

The group lured women into sex work by offering jobs in homes and hotels. During an investigation focused on certain hotels in Paharganj, the police confirmed that women from other regions were being exploited. The arrested individuals are Noorshad Alam, Rahul Alam, Abdul Manan, Tauseef Rex, Shameem Alam, Jarul, and Monish.

The police approached the sex racket posing as clients to gather direct evidence, leading to the raid and the arrest of seven people. All 23 trafficked women were rescued. The investigation will be extended to other states outside Delhi, according to the police.
