The BJP has issued a show-cause notice to an MLA for publicly criticizing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government and tarnishing the party's image. The notice was served to Nand Kishor Gurjar, the MLA from the Loni Assembly constituency in Ghaziabad district.
Nand Kishor Gurjar openly criticized Yogi's government, calling it the most corrupt administration in history. He accused officials of misleading the Chief Minister and looting the state treasury. Following these remarks, the BJP issued the show-cause notice.
The notice, signed by BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, states that such statements and actions harm the party's image. It also mentions that the MLA must respond within seven days as per the directions of BJP national president J.P. Nadda.
The controversy arose after the MLA’s supporters clashed with the police during a religious procession in Loni. It was after this incident that Nand Kishor Gurjar came forward with his criticism against Yogi Adityanath.
