Chain Snatching Suspect Killed in Encounter by Chennai Police

A chain-snatching suspect was shot dead in an encounter by Chennai Police. The accused had snatched six chains in a single day across the city. He, along with his accomplice, carried out the thefts while riding a stolen bike.
When the police pursued them, the suspects attempted to escape, leading to a confrontation. According to Chennai Police, the suspect opened fire at the officers using a country-made pistol. In self-defense, the police retaliated, resulting in the suspect’s death.
