Everyone Should Watch Mohanlal-Prithviraj's 'Empuraan'": Union Minister George Kurian

Union Minister George Kurian has urged everyone to watch the Mohanlal-Prithviraj film Empuraan. He stated that the party’s stance aligns with BJP Kerala State General Secretary M.T. Ramesh’s view that “a film should be seen as just a film.” This position has also been approved by the BJP state president, Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Kurian added that those who watch the movie should discuss BJP at home.
He compared Mohanlal’s rise to fame from his villainous role in Manjil Virinja Pookkal to BJP’s anticipated rise in the next Kerala Assembly elections. “Just as Mohanlal gained prominence from a negative role, BJP will also rise to greater heights,” he told the media.
Kurian admitted that he has not yet watched Empuraan but plans to do so. He emphasized that films need opposition to succeed, stating, “If only good things are shown, no one will watch the movie. There should be elements of controversy as well. Only by starting from negativity can one reach great heights.”
He further asserted that for BJP, this is just the beginning of such a rise. “In the next Kerala Assembly elections, BJP will reach new heights. Every household should discuss BJP. Usually, BJP is not a common topic of discussion in every home, but everyone who watches the film should talk about it. BJP will surge ahead, and Empuraan will pave the way for that,” Kurian concluded.
