India Press Club of North America Gears Up for 11th International Media Conference: New York Chapter Kickoff Event Triumphs

Preparations have commenced with a grand inauguration for the 11th International Media Conference of the India Press Club of North America (IPCNA), which is celebrating two decades in the media industry. The conference, aimed at exploring the intricacies of journalism, is scheduled to take place on October 9, 10, and 11 at the Sheraton Hotel in Edison, New Jersey. Senior journalists from Kerala, along with prominent political and cultural leaders, will grace the event.
New York Chapter Hosts Preparatory Meeting
The New York Chapter, a key pillar of the IPCNA, is hosting the 11th International Media Conference. Under the leadership of National President Sunil Tristar, preparations for the event are well underway. A meeting, presided over by New York Chapter President Sholi Kumpuluveli, was formally inaugurated by Sunil Tristar. Sholi Kumpuluveli emphasized the chapter’s commitment to ensuring the conference’s success, highlighting New York as the proud home of the IPCNA.
Key Figures Attend Preparatory Meeting
National Secretary Shijo Paulose, President-elect Raju Pallath (2026-27), past presidents, and members of the New York Chapter, along with several prominent figures from social, cultural, and organizational spheres, attended the meeting. National Treasurer Visakh Cherian and Advisory Board Chairman Sunil Taimattom were also present. Under the leadership of Vice President Anil Aranmula, Joint Secretary Asha Mathew, Joint Treasurer Roy Mulakunam, and office bearers from more than ten chapters, preparations for the conference are in full swing.
Kickoff Meeting Held to Engage Public Participation
As part of efforts to engage the public in ensuring the success of the 11th International Media Conference, the New York Chapter hosted a kickoff meeting on Friday, March 28, at Malabar Restaurant in Valley Cottage, Rockland. The event saw the participation of New York Chapter President Sholi Kumbiluveli, Secretary Jojo Kottarakkara, Treasurer Binu Thomas, Joint Secretary Jacob Manuel, former National Presidents of the Press Club, Advisory Board members, and other chapter representatives. Additionally, aspiring members of the India Press Club from the New York Tri-State area joined the gathering, demonstrating strong community involvement in the conference preparations.
President Sunil Tristar Urges Participation and Support
President Sunil Tristar urged everyone to participate and extend their support to ensure the success of the three-day media conference. During the meeting, he provided an overview of the event’s key details. Secretary Shijo Paulose welcomed the sponsors and formally accepted their contributions, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their continued support over the years. Representatives from various organizations, including Paul Karukappally, Thomas Koshy, Philipose Philip, Shinu Joseph, Noah George, Tom Nainan, Sunny Kallooppara, Harikumar Rajan, Jibi Varghese, and Shaibu Varghese, shared their best wishes for the conference. Their collective sponsorship reflected the deep respect and recognition the organization has earned within the community.

India Press Club of North America President-elect Raju Pallathu encouraged everyone to continue their support and cooperation in the organization's future endeavors. Several key leaders, including George Joseph, Taj Mathew, J. Mathew, Jose Kadappuram, Saji Abraham, Prince Lukes, and Mathukutty Eso, also addressed the gathering, sharing their insights and support.
