New move in the hybrid cannabis seizure case; Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi to be questioned.

The investigation into the ₹2 crore hybrid cannabis seizure case has been handed over to Assistant Excise Commissioner Ashok Kumar. Based on the statement of the prime accused, Tasleem Sultana, actors Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi will be served a notice and summoned for questioning within a week.

The secret investigation wing of the police is probing the high-profile connections in Tasleem Sultana's drug and sex racket. Excise officials have received indications that drug syndicates operating under Tasleem Sultana exist in both Chennai and Ernakulam.

Excise has also obtained information suggesting that more people from the film industry have connections with Tasleem. Detailed data from the phones sent for forensic examination will be received in the coming days. A custody application for the accused will be submitted tomorrow. Police are also investigating the wealth accumulated by Christina through drug dealings over the past eight years across the film industry, spanning from Chennai to Ernakulam.
