Veteran Film Actor Ravikumar Passes Away

Veteran film actor Ravikumar has passed away in Chennai following a battle with cancer. A native of Thrissur, Ravikumar had acted in over 100 Malayalam films, numerous Tamil movies, and several television serials.
During the 1970s and 80s, he gained recognition by portraying both lead and villain roles. He became widely known in Malayalam cinema through the 1976 film Amma, directed by M. Krishnan Nair, with Madhu in the lead role. Notably, renowned music director Ravindran was the regular dubbing artist for Ravikumar.
Ravikumar also made his mark in Tamil cinema with films like Srinivasa Kalyanam (1981) and Dasavatharam (1976). His last appearances were in Aaraattu and CBI 5.
His mortal remains will be brought to his residence in Valsaravakkam, Chennai, today. The funeral will take place tomorrow at Porur, Chennai.
