American Vice President to visit India; Trade agreement to be discussed.

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance will visit India. The U.S. has indicated that he is likely to visit between April 21 and 24. It is expected that his wife, Usha Vance, who is of Indian origin, will accompany him.

During the visit, J.D. Vance will hold meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior officials. Reports suggest that apart from official engagements, he may also visit Jaipur and Agra. U.S. National Security Advisor (NSA) Mike Walts is also expected to accompany the Vice President during the India visit.

It is believed that the next round of discussions on the bilateral trade agreement—announced during the February meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and U.S. President Donald Trump—will take place during Vance's visit.
