Minister V. Sivankutty strongly criticized CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam. He stated that there is no need for Binoy Viswam to be anxious about the case against the Chief Minister’s daughter, Veena, and added that Veena knows how to handle the case herself. Sivankutty also criticized Binoy Viswam’s stance on the PM SHRI scheme.
The minister said that if Binoy Viswam has any doubts about the claim that ₹1,500 crore is available under the scheme, he can visit the office and be shown the accounts for clarity. The case involving the Chief Minister’s daughter pertains to two companies, and Binoy Viswam, who is also the CPI state secretary, had said that if there are attempts to politicize the case, it would be countered politically.
The Exalogic case is a different matter altogether, Sivankutty emphasized. He stated that it is not an LDF case and that Veena has every right to start a company. CPI is not aware of the company’s dealings, he added. While the CPI stands with the Chief Minister, it has no connection with his daughter’s matters, he clarified.
