Car loses control while reversing; tragic death of a four-year-old girl in Edappal.

Amra Bint Jabir, daughter of Jabir from Udinikkara Road, died in the accident. Three others were injured: Aliya (5), daughter of Shahira, and Sithara (46) and Subaida (61).

The accident occurred around 11:30 PM on Friday. While trying to reverse the car parked in the courtyard to help an elderly mother get in, the driver lost control and hit a wall. Amra and others, who were standing near the wall at the time, got trapped between the car and the wall. Though all the injured were rushed to the hospital, Amra could not be saved. Aliya, who was seriously injured, was admitted to a private hospital in Kottakkal.

The accident happened as relatives were preparing to leave after Eid celebrations. On hearing the news, Amra’s father Jabir returned home. Amra was the only daughter of Jabir and Sajna. Her body will be buried at the Edappal Angadi Juma Masjid after the post-mortem.
