.Opposed the love affair with his aunt's sister; nephew and his friends killed the uncle by hitting him on the head.

In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, police have arrested a nephew and his friends in connection with the murder of his uncle, who was killed by being struck on the head after being given alcohol. The deceased was 28-year-old Mahendra Prajapati. The crime was committed by his nephew Akash Prajapati, a relative named Rohit, and a friend named Vijay.

The motive behind the murder was resentment over Mahendra’s opposition and threats against Akash’s romantic relationship with his aunt’s sister. On Friday morning, Mahendra’s body was found near a tree in Kaushambi district. He had left with Akash on Thursday evening and never returned home. The family said he initially answered phone calls but later his phone was found switched off. During the investigation, police discovered that Mahendra’s phone was in Akash’s possession.

During interrogation, Akash confessed that he was in love with his aunt’s sister and that Mahendra had threatened him over it. Out of fear and anger, Akash lured Mahendra with the help of Rohit and Vijay, gave him alcohol, and then killed him by striking his head with a brick. Police recovered blood-stained clothes and Mahendra’s phone from the accused. The suspects were presented in court and have been remanded in custody.
