Actress Vincy’s revelation is serious and is being taken seriously, said Minister M. B. Rajesh. The Excise Department will conduct a detailed investigation. The actor’s misbehavior will be investigated by the police. More inspections will be carried out at film sets. There is absolutely no issue in conducting inspections. The minister also stated that the distribution of drugs has decreased following increased inspections.
The minister clarified that investigations are not based on any individual but are initiated based on complaints received and the information available. He added that the acquittal of Shine Tom Chacko in a previous drug case was due to a serious lapse on the part of the police. That incident occurred during the UDF government’s tenure, and the court had criticized the police in connection with that case. The Pinarayi government is not responsible for that case, and he had already made that clear in the Legislative Assembly, said M. B. Rajesh.
